New Fujifilm FinePix S5100 digital camera


Fujifilm is best known for creating good-quality midrange digital cameras, FinePix S5100 digital camera is one of the latest cameras in their list, it offers handful of features and performance improvements. The Fujifilm FinePix S5100 is identical to FinePix S5000 ultra zoom digital camera. S5100 is styled after and handles like an SLR camera and it offers mid-level digital photographer 4.0 million pixels combined with point and shoot. The major change in this digital camera is the sensor; the previous model's 3-megapixel SuperCCD HR has been replaced with a conventional 4-megapixel CCD because of which the image quality is much improved. Although this latest digital camera don’t lack anywhere in features but some design drawbacks are there.

Pros:

FinePix S5100 this latest camera come with advanced features; as it is compact for a megazoom model; 10X zoom lens; fairly extensive set of advanced features; it is compact and speedy. Takes bright, crisp, and well-exposed pictures. RAW support and an AF assist lamp.

Corn:

There are some design drawbacks in Fujifilm FinePix S5100 digital camera; raw-mode selection buried too deep in the menus; limited JPEG compression choices; raw converter is almost useless. It lacks important refinements, like anti shake technology, a real-time histogram, and a hot shoe. Manual focus is inconvenient to use. Small (1.5-inch) LCD, Uses less common xD memory format; and the most important that charger and rechargeable battery not included in this digital camera.

Bottom line:

No doubt that this latest digital camera (FinePix S5100) by Fujifilm replaces the S5000 because of its specifications. The 4MP FinePix S5100 conventional CCD outperforms the previous model's proprietary SuperCCD HR image sensor. It's speedy and takes excellent pictures with a minimum of fuss, and it would be an unbeatable value if it had antishake technology. This responsive, well-rounded camera should get a serious look from anyone shopping for a mega zoom model.
